Shashaa Tirupati (often misspelled as Tripathi, born December 21st) is a multilingual playback singer, songwriter and voice over artist of Indo-Canadian origin, with family roots in Kashmir, predominantly active in the Bollywood and South Indian music industries.[3] She is the voice behind the recreated version of the A. R. Rahman cult classic, Humma Humma, known as “The Humma Song”,[4], “Phir Bhi Tumko Chahunga” (with Arijit Singh), “Baarish” (Half Girlfriend),[5], “O Sona Tere Liye” (with A.R. Rahman) and “Chal Kahin Door” from the Sridevi starrer MOM.[6] The Humma Song happened to be one of the highest viewed and heard tracks of 2016 on YouTube as well as on radio based on All India Radio statistics and rankings.
